How to homeschool in Colorado
File a written notice of intent with any Colorado school district 14 days before starting, and every year after. It lists each child's name, age, residence and hours of attendance. At the end of grades 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11, test or evaluate each child and send the results to the district. A parent who holds a Colorado teaching certificate has no filing or testing requirements.

- Testing
- At the end of grades 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11: a nationally standardized achievement test, or an evaluation by a certified teacher, private school teacher, licensed psychologist or holder of a graduate degree in education.
