Terms of Service

Last updated: July 12, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and OneHomeschool Inc., a Delaware corporation (“OneHomeschool”, “we”, “us”), governing your use of the OneHomeschool homeschool management platform — including chore tracking, curriculum management, school assignments, assessments and study guides, attendance, transcripts, and the gradebook — on the web and in our iOS and Android apps (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Who may use the Service

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and a parent or legal guardian — or otherwise authorized by one — to create an account.
  • Accounts are for adults. Children do not receive accounts; a parent may allow a child to use a supervised “kid mode” under the parent’s account, and the parent remains responsible for that use.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. Tell us immediately at support@onehomeschool.com if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.

2. Your household and members

The Service organizes data by household. Household administrators (parents) can invite other parents/guardians, create child profiles, and manage the household’s data. You are responsible for whom you invite and for the actions taken under your household.

3. Subscriptions, billing, and refunds

  • Plans and trials. The Service is offered on subscription plans with different limits (students, curricula, parents). Plan limits are enforced within the product, and we may change the features included in a plan with notice, effective at your next renewal. New accounts receive a 14-day free trial — no payment method is required to start it. When the trial ends, a paid subscription is required for continued access.
  • Billing. Subscriptions are billed on our website in U.S. dollars through our payment processor, Square, on an annual basis (shown as an equivalent monthly price). Prices are those displayed at checkout; we may change prices with notice effective at your next renewal.
  • Renewal and cancellation.Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel first. You can cancel anytime in Settings → Subscription; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
  • Refunds — 30-day guarantee. If you cancel within 30 days of any charge (your first purchase or a renewal), that charge is refunded automatically and your access ends immediately. Outside that window, fees are non-refundable except where required by law, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for. Plan downgrades may be credited or refunded pro rata as described at the time of the change.
  • If your subscription ends. When a trial or subscription lapses, access to the Service is suspended but your household’s records are not deleted. You can resubscribe at any time and pick up where you left off, contact us for an export of your records, or delete your account. Your data is deleted only when you delete it or your account (see Section 9).
  • Promotions and referrals. Promo and referral codes are subject to the terms presented with them, may be one-time and non-transferable, and may be withdrawn in cases of abuse.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of everything you put into the Service — child profiles, lesson plans, curricula, grades, records, photos, and messages (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service for you. We do not sell Your Content and do not use it for advertising.

You are responsible for Your Content, including having the right to upload the curriculum material you use with the Service. Respect copyright: only upload or reproduce curriculum content you own or are licensed to use.

5. AI-generated content

The Service can generate assessments, study guides, and similar material using artificial intelligence (Anthropic’s Claude models), based on the lesson and curriculum content you provide. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for your child’s level. You must review AI-generated material before using it. AI output is provided as a teaching aid, not as professional or educational advice.

6. Educational records and legal compliance

The Service helps you keep homeschool records — attendance, grades, transcripts — but youare responsible for the accuracy of those records and for complying with the homeschooling, attendance, reporting, and record-keeping laws of your state or country. OneHomeschool does not provide legal advice and does not guarantee that records produced by the Service satisfy any particular jurisdiction’s requirements.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law or infringe others’ rights while using the Service.
  • Probe, disrupt, or overload the Service; bypass authentication, plan limits, or other technical restrictions; or access other households’ data.
  • Upload malware or content that is unlawful, or resell the Service without our agreement.
  • Use automated means to scrape or bulk-extract catalog or curriculum content from the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers (hosting, payments, email, AI, analytics, push notifications) described in our Privacy Policy. Their availability is outside our control, and their terms apply to their processing where relevant.

9. Termination and account deletion

  • You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Security → Delete account) or by emailing support@onehomeschool.com. See Account deletion for what is deleted and when.
  • We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service (in which case we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your records).
  • Sections that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, governing law) survive.

10. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by OneHomeschool and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our name, logo, or branding. Curriculum catalog content made available through the Service is licensed for use within the Service only.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DATA WILL NEVER BE LOST — KEEP EXPORTS OF RECORDS THAT MATTER TO YOU.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ONEHOMESCHOOL WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE (OR US $50 IF YOU HAVE PAID NOTHING). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

13. Indemnification

You will indemnify and hold OneHomeschool harmless from claims arising out of Your Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we will notify you (by email or in-app) before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

  • Talk to us first. Before starting any formal proceeding, you and we agree to try to resolve the dispute informally. Email us at support@onehomeschool.comwith a description of the dispute and how you’d like it resolved; we will do the same if we have a dispute with you. If we haven’t resolved it within 60 days, either of us may proceed as described below.
  • Binding arbitration. Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the Service that is not resolved informally will be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, before a single arbitrator, rather than in court. The arbitration may be conducted by videoconference or, if in person, in North Carolina or another location we both agree to. Fees are allocated as provided in the AAA consumer rules.
  • Small-claims option. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court where you live or where we are based.
  • No class actions; jury waiver. To the extent permitted by law, claims may be brought only on an individual basis — not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated, or representative proceeding — and both parties waive the right to a jury trial.
  • Your right to opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@onehomeschool.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, with your name, account email, and a statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
  • If arbitration does not apply. If you opt out, or a claim cannot be arbitrated under applicable law, it will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and both parties consent to their jurisdiction — unless applicable law gives you the right to another venue.
