SupportedKeep your OneHomeschool receipt for the Minnesota K-12 education credit and subtraction
Claimed on your state taxes. Pay by card, keep your receipt from Settings, and claim it on your Minnesota income tax return. The state decides what qualifies.
Before you count on it
Minnesota counts software and computer costs only up to a set limit, leaves out programs that are primarily religious, and limits the credit by household income. Check the Department of Revenue's rules before you claim.

How it works in Minnesota
- 1
Pay by card and download your receipt from Settings.
Keep the itemized receipt: a card statement alone may not be enough.
- 2
Check whether you can take the credit.
The credit has a household income limit; the subtraction does not. Both are on the Department of Revenue's page.
- 3
Claim the credit on Schedule M1ED.
OneHomeschool goes on the educational software line, which has its own limit.
- 4
Put what the credit did not use on Schedule M1M.
The subtraction has its own software limit, per family.
- 5
File your Form M1 by April 15.
Keep your receipts with your records.
