How it works in Idaho

Check that your purchase qualifies.
Idaho counts a single, unified curriculum that covers at least English language arts, math, science and social studies. The program decides.

Pay by card and download your receipt from Settings.
Keep paid receipts for the year: every claim can be audited.

File the prior year's Idaho Form 40 and register for TAP.
Both are required, even if you do not normally file. TAP registration can take up to two weeks.

Apply in TAP when the window opens.
For the 2026 credit, January 15 to March 15, 2027, first come, first served.

Claim the credit on your Form 40.
If you filed before you were awarded, file an amended return.
