Math-U-See
A manipulative-based, mastery math program that builds deep understanding one concept at a time — K through 12.
Math-U-See teaches math through hands-on integer blocks and a simple “build, write, say” method, with a short video lesson introducing each concept. It’s mastery-based — students stay with a topic until they truly understand it before moving on, instead of racing through a grade-level calendar. Levels are named by topic rather than grade, so each child works exactly where they are. Our guides lay out every lesson, practice page, and review so you always know what comes next.
Mastery-based — move on only when your child truly understands
Hands-on integer blocks make abstract math concrete
Short video lessons teach each concept (great if math isn’t your thing)
Levels by topic, not grade — kids work exactly where they are

Which level should my child start in?
Math-U-See levels are named by topic (Alpha, Beta, Gamma…) rather than grade, so a child can be in a different “level” than their grade — and that’s by design. Demme Learning offers a free placement tool to find the right starting point, and our guides track progress by level, not grade.
