How to homeschool in Florida
File a one-time notice of intent with the county superintendent within 30 days of starting, listing each student's full legal name, address and birthdate. Every year, on the anniversary of that notice, file an evaluation of each child with the superintendent. File a notice of termination within 30 days when a student graduates or you move out of the county. Umbrella schools and certified private tutors are separate options.

- Any parent. No diploma or certificate required.

- Testing
- Every year, on the anniversary of your notice of intent, file an evaluation with the superintendent: a portfolio review and discussion by a Florida-certified teacher you choose, a nationally normed test given by a certified teacher, a state test, an evaluation by a licensed psychologist, or another agreed method. Inadequate progress gives one year to remediate.
