How to homeschool in Delaware
Register your homeschool once on the Delaware Department of Education site. Then file two reports a year: enrollment as of the last school day in September, due September 30, and end-of-year attendance, due July 31.

Delaware homeschool requirements
- Who can teach
- Any parent. No diploma or certificate required.
- Days and hours
- No statutory minimum. Delaware uses 180 days as the reference for the attendance report.
- Subjects
- No required subjects.
- Testing
- No testing or evaluation required.
- Records
- Attendance, so the July report can be completed.

Where it goes
Register through an EdAccess account and the Nonpublic School application. The end-of-year attendance report (by July 31) and the enrollment statement (by September 30) go in the same system.
